Ron Moody (born Ronald Moodnick 8 January 1924 in Tottenham, north London, died 11 June 2015[1]) voiced the Duke of Wellington in the Big Finish Doctor Who audio story Other Lives.

Moody is one of the few Oscar-nominated actors to appear in a Doctor Who production.

Moody was considered for the role of the Third Doctor but turned it down, a decision he later described as his greatest regret.[2]

Career[[edit] | [edit source]]

Outside of the franchise, Moody is most famous for his portrayal of Fagin in the 1960 musical Oliver!, and its 1968 film adaptation.

Trivia[[edit] | [edit source]]

As of 2022, both Moody and Christopher Eccleston have played the role of Fagin at at least one point in their careers.
