Doctor Manning was the Head of History at Cardiff University in 2009, taking over from the retired Doctor Challis. Nina Rogers was among his students. He was described by Nina as a tall man with a beard who liked to drink. Unbeknownst to Doctor Manning, the librarian Moira Raynor had a crush on him. (PROSE: Consequences)
