Manchester Airport was located only a few miles away from Levenshulme. Low flying aeroplanes were common in the skies above Levenshulme, Stockport, and Cheadle. (PROSE: The Story of Fester Cat)

In real life, Manchester Airport is located between Wilmslow, Styal (both Cheshire), Hale, Heald Green and Wythenshawe (all three in Greater Manchester)
