Levenshulme was a district in South Manchester. The district was nearly entirely residential, with Albert Road, Windsor Road, Stockport Road, (PROSE: The Wickerwork Man) Slade Lane, Central Avenue, and Chestnut Avenue all having houses built there. (PROSE: The Story of Fester Cat)

The district also had a railway station, (PROSE: The Wickerwork Man) and Levenshulme Conservation Area. (PROSE: The Story of Fester Cat)

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

Levenshulme was created sometime in the 1800s, when farmers settled there. Their cats would go on to be the forefathers of the cat population of Levenshulme. (PROSE: The Story of Fester Cat)

The Eighth Doctor travelled to Levenshulme to find Goomba, an ancient wood spirit. With the help of Peter, he was able to stop Goomba from sacrificing Levenshulme's residents in order to return to his own dimension. (PROSE: The Wickerwork Man)

In early 2006, a house on Central Avenue which was used a drug den was set on fire, and Paul and Jeremy's home was subject to a robbery by a group of teenagers. (PROSE: The Story of Fester Cat)

Though it's possible that a real world location doesn't exist in the same geographic space in the Doctor Who universe, such cases are few and far between. Thus, the map to the right is probably a good indicator of the DWU location of Levenshulme.
