On 14 January, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1964 - Pre-filming for Marco Polo continued at Ealing Studios. (TCH 2)
- 1966 - "The Destruction of Time" was recorded at BBC Television Centre Studio 3. (TCH 6)
- 1967 - Episode two of The Underwater Menace was recorded at Riverside Studios 1. (TCH 9)
- 1968 - Location filming for The Web of Fear concluded. (TCH 11)
- 1974 - Pre-filming for The Monster of Peladon took place at Stage 3A of Ealing Studios. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Third Doctor)
- 2009 - Cast read-through for Planet of the Dead took place. David Tennant, as he did regularly during series 2 and 3 and less regularly during series 4, recorded the event for posterity for a series of video diaries dubbed "The Tennant Tapes" later posted to the BBC's website. Tennant introduced himself as Matt Smith at the read-through.
- 2013 - It was announced that the interactive video game Worlds in Time would be discontinued on 3 March. Monetary transactions within the game also ceased from 14 January onwards.
- 2014 - The Big Finish audio story Signs and Wonders took place at the Moat Studios.
- 2015 - Daniel O'Hara confirmed filming Under the Lake and Before the Flood.
- 2015 - Big Finish's Iris Wildthyme audio anthology Wildthyme Reloaded began at the Moat Studios.
- 2020 - Big Finish's audio anthology The Lost Resort and Other Stories was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2022 - The reissue of The Collection: Season 14 was announced.
- 2022 - Big Finish's Torchwood Soho audio story The Unbegotten was recorded.
