Jinpar was the custodian of the Gardens of Everlasting Summer. Responsible for the gardens' upkeep for the long-lived species that retired there, he resorted to artificially rewinding time in the area to keep it in a state of summer, believing that this would keep it perfect.

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

While working as custodian, Jinpar realised that the retirees in his garden manor wished for their time in the gardens to be perfect, leading him to implement a station that could control time energy in the area. Using a "daily reset" lever, he would rewind time by one day every night, until it could go back no further and a century would go by in a night; any residents that got too old would be swept up in the resulting time storm and die quickly. He also used this to cultivate beelings.

When the Thirteenth Doctor got suspicious about the gardens, she, Yasmin Khan, and Dan Lewis investigated. However, they were caught up in time accidentally continuing as normal, leading to the group being split up with Jinpar, who quickly escaped to rewind time, causing Dan to be partially aged in the storm. Yaz eventually discovered his true intentions and convinced him to let her warn Dan, but she too was caught in the storm, being aged into an old woman. Eventually, the group successfully convinced Jinpar to stop his meddling and revert Yaz and Dan, leading to the gardens experiencing winter for the first time in centuries.
