Wadi was a Proto-Time Lord clone of River Song.

Wadi was created on Demons Run by Madame Kovarian, along with six other clones. After the Eleventh Doctor raided Demons Run, Wadi escaped on a ship with the other six clones. Sometime after escaping Demons Run, she was tending to fuel cells with Lake, when one of the cells blew up in Lake's face and the explosion caused him to regenerate. Amazed, she told her fellow clones about what happened and looked to Lake as their spiritual leader. Wadi was later murdered by Lake in his quest to discover how many times he could cheat death. (AUDIO: The Lady in the Lake)

After Wadi and the other six initial clones were lost following the Doctor's raid of Demons Run and River married the Doctor instead of killing him, Kovarian created at least four additional clones: BrookeH-OneH-Two, and O. (AUDIOThe Furies)

Behind the scenes [[edit] | [edit source]]

Like all of her siblings, Wadi's name is a reference to water, with her name coming from the Arabic term wadi. While the term traditionally refers to a valley, in some instances, it may refer to a dry riverbed that contains water only when heavy rain occurs.
