On 14 September, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:

- 1971 - Location filming for Day of the Daleks took place. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Third Doctor)
- 1984 - Studio filming for The Two Doctors took place at BBC Television Centre studio 6. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Sixth Doctor)
- 2005 - Rewrites for New Earth and Tooth and Claw known as "goldenrod script changes" for New Earth and "pink script revisions" for Tooth and Claw shortened Matron Casp and Sister Jatt's discussion of their experiments in Intensive Care and also covered the TARDIS' arrival in Scotland, the scenes from the arrival in Torchwood House through to the observatory scene, Queen Victoria meeting Sir Robert MacLeish, the Tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler on the stairs and the TARDIS leaving Scotland. - 2008 - The Big Finish audio story The Beast of Orlok was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2012 - The Big Finish audio story House of Cards was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2016 - The Big Finish audio story The World Traders was recorded at Audio Sorcery.
- 2021 - Big Finish announced the casting of Ruth Madeley as the Sixth Doctor's companion Hebe Harrison.
