On 5 October, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:

- 1981 - Location filming for Black Orchid took place. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Fifth Doctor)
- 1983 - Studio filming Resurrection of the Daleks took place at BBC Television Centre studio 1. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Fifth Doctor)
- 2010 - Big Finish's audio adaptation of the unproduced TV story Earth Aid was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2013 - Matt Smith filmed his final scene as the Eleventh Doctor.[1]
- 2015 - Big Finish confirmed that John Hurt was to reprise the role of the War Doctor for The War Doctor audio series.
- 2016 - The Big Finish audio story Entanglement was recorded at the Moat Studios.
