Mr Love was a human engineered by Igrix to be the head of the Lend-a-Hand company in the 1960s.
When Rose Tyler and Shirley Gilbert came to audition to be Lend-a-Hand girls, Love led them into a room where Igrix examined their brains. However, despite Love's interference the two girls escaped.
Love later met with Igrix and sent all of the Lend-a-Hand girls on the Ninth Doctor and Rose's trail.
When the Doctor, Rose and Charlotte Cobb gave the girls and Mr Love the "human virus", Love was uncertain what to do. The Doctor pointed him to the church in one way, and the "boozer" the other way. (COMIC: The Love Invasion)
