Thanks for your recent edits! I'm Jimbo, your robot wiki representative! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is actually a great time to have joined, because we're now fully independent, and working on a host of new features!
We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:
- the listing of all our help, policy and guideline pages
- our Manual of Style
- our image use policy
- our user page policy
If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! — you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

The Megéve Experiment and Doctor at Sea[[edit source]]
Hi. What are The Megéve Experiment and Doctor at Sea? Are they fanfilms, documentaries, or both? If they are a fanfilm, they should not have pages on this wiki as we don't allow pages on the majority of unlicensed productions. Certainly, they should not be cited on in-universe pages or included on lists of appearances as they are not valid sources. If they are instead documentaries, they should still not be cited on in-universe pages or included on lists of appearances because they're not fiction and so not valid sources. Please can you clarify for me what these actually are? Bongo50 ☎ 17:53, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
- I must also ask what you mean by "Since my old account got deleted :/" in your global Fandom profile. Note that Tardis has a policy against sock puppetry. Bongo50 ☎ 18:02, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
- I have done some research and found that these are both documentaries, as listed at Reeltime Pictures#Documentaries. The Megéve Experiment does appear to include a fanfilm at the end. However, this is unlicensed and so cannot be used as a valid sources so should not be added to in-universe pages or lists of appearances at all. They may both receieve pages. However, the current ones need tidying up a lot to meet our Manual of Style. Bongo50 ☎ 18:21, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
- Please familiarise yourself with our Tardis:Valid sources policy. The problem isn't that the film was made by Reeltime. The question is whether Victoria and Ace's appearances were licensed, in the way that they were in Downtime. Scrooge MacDuck ⊕ 19:05, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
- [edit confilct] Hi, Downtime and others of its kind are known to be fully licensed films. This situation is different as the items in question are documentaries and are not known to be licensed. As I have already stated, however, this does stop them from receiving pages. However, Crossed Lines as a piece of fiction is not known to be licensed. This is very different to Emperor of the Daleks which was released by the BBC and so is licensed and hence may receive a page as a piece of fiction and may be used to write articles. Crossed Lines, not currently being known to be licensed, is not afforded the same status. Regarding me updating the formatting, I likely will (although not today), assuming that nobody else does it before I get to it (potentially tomorrow). I was merely informing you of what the status of the pages are (e.g. that they may exist but need major changes). The potential problem with your bio is whether your previous account was blocked as creating a new account to circumvate that is, in itself, a blockable offence. Could you link to your old account for me? Finally, I'd urge you to read Tardis:No personal attacks as you are potentially getting close to violating it. Bongo50 ☎ 19:11, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
