By some accounts, Qqaba was the star that Omega and Rassilon detonated to create the black hole to enable time travel for Time Lords. The disappearance of Omega occurred in Qqaba's supernova. (COMIC: Star Death) Qqaba was the last of the Population III stars. (PROSE: The Infinity Doctors)
