Alfredo (Under Control)
"Alfredo" was the name given to an Earthling Pig by the Fourteenth Doctor after their initial encounter on a Sycorax spaceship. Alfredo aided the Doctor in defeating the Sycorax and subsequently joined him aboard the TARDIS.
History
A Pig was transported from Earth to a Sycorax spaceship where a group of Stromboks and Vega Raptons mistook him for a dangerous creature and tied him up on a stalagmite. However he was soon rescued when the Fourteenth Doctor arrived and released him, assuring the Stromboks and Vega Raptons that he was not dangerous. When the Doctor asks the group for help, he is the only one to eagerly volunteer. The Doctor names him Alfredo, stating that it is probably a good name for a pig and they set off to discover why these different species have been kidnapped. While exploring, Alfredo wanders off and becomes separated from the Doctor. (PROSE: Under Control)
Alfredo catches up with the Doctor in time to find him engaging in a duel with the Queen of the Sycorax. Just as the Queen has almost defeated the Doctor, Alfredo knocks her into a pool of Sarnsquids who eject her from the ship. Alfredo and the Doctor depart the Sycorax spaceship together, with the Doctor deciding that they should make the most of second chances. (COMIC: Into Control)
Personality
Appearance
Alfredo was small in stature and appeared skinny, bony and sad looking when first encountered by the Doctor due to his meagre weight as a result of his bad treatment by the Vega Raptons, who feared him and described him as an "armoured beast". He had bristles which the Vega Raptons believed were tipped with poison, and tusks that they thought could tear flesh. However in reality he was harmless. (PROSE: Under Control) His skin was pink in colour and he had a curly tail and he was strong enough to knock the Queen of the Sycorax off her feet. (COMIC: Into Control)
