Mike Tucker was a largely uncredited visual effects assistant on Doctor Who from 1985 to 1989, and model unit supervisor on series 1 and 2 of the BBC Wales version. He is one of the few behind-the-scenes personnel to work on both the 1963 and 2005 versions of Doctor Who.

He previously worked on the TARDIS Cam series.

He received a special thanks for work on the minisode Eye on... Blatchford.

Tucker won a BAFTA for his work on The Day of the Doctor, and is today the supervisor of the Model Unit.

He has also made numerous contributions to non-televised Doctor Who fiction, and has occasionally written non-fictional accounts of his work on both major productions of Doctor Who.
