Shirley Anne Bingham was UNIT's 56th scientific adviser. She was tasked with evaluating the Meep's crashed ship, and later aided the Fourteenth Doctor in averting the destruction of London.
She was familiar with the Doctor and his ability to regenerate. She believed that she was talking to the Tenth Doctor, when in fact it was the Fourteenth Doctor, who had regenerated back into that incarnation.
