Shardlow was a servant of the Celestial Toymaker. At the Hellfire Club in 1778, he lost a game of backgammon to the Toymaker, and thus became his slave. After centuries of service, he finally died after playing a final game of backgammon with the Toymaker's sadistic assistant Stefan. (PROSE: The Nightmare Fair; AUDIO: The Nightmare Fair)
