A technology company developed a range of laptops. Their logo resembled a white silhouette of an apple with a bite taken out of it, which was seen on their products.

The company is Apple Inc., which also created the iPod, iPhone, and Macintosh, although the connection between Apple and these products has not been made in DWU sources. Steve Jobs was a co-founder of the company.
The Cybus EarPods that first appeared in the 2006 Doctor Who television episode Rise of the Cybermen [+]Loading...["Rise of the Cybermen (TV story)"] were named such as a reference to Apple's iPod. Ironically, in 2012, Apple would release a new redesign of their earphones, known as the Apple EarPods.
Apple developed the iTunes media playing service, which has notable links with Doctor Who universe media.
