Crypto-forming
Crypto-forming, (PROSE: {cs|The Book of the War (novel)|namedpart=The Nine Homeworlds}} or Hausforming (PROSE: Eyes [+]Loading...["Eyes (short story)"] was the process of radically reshaping the geography, ecosystem, and noosphere of a planet, like a kind of cultural or technological enhancement combined with terraforming.
In preparation for the War in Heaven, the Nine Homeworlds were created through crypto-forming. The Book of the War mentioned a rumour about an event prior to this where House Mirraflex crypto-formed an entire planet simply to excise a single culture that had interacted with the Great Houses, removing all trace of their interference.
