The Abzorbaloff, who was the father of the late "Victor Kennedy", operated a spaceship with a transmat controlled by an any key.

In anticipation of his confrontation with the Tenth Doctor, the Abzorbaloff employed the Krakanord, keeping him in a chamber, also controlled by the any key, for three months. Finally, in 2009, the ship entered orbit of the planet Earth. Luring the Doctor into a trap, the Abzorbaloff pursued him to what appeared to be a backalley in Cardiff, but was actually an image generated onboard the ship. Summoning the Krakanord, the Abzorbaloff intended for the beast to attack the Doctor, enabling the Abzorbaloff to absorb him. However, the Krakanord instead killed the Abzorbaloff with his acid blaster, having been disatisified with the food the Abzorbaloff provided him. As the Krakanord declared his intention to take over the Earth himself, the Doctor used the transmat's reverse teleportation function to deposit the Krakanord to Clom, whilst the TARDIS materialised to pick him up.
