Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

"D'oh!" is widely known as the catchphrase of The Simpsons character, Homer Simpson. It was inspired by Scottish actor James Finlayson, who used a drawn-out version of the phrase as a minced oath for the word "damn" in several Laurel and Hardy films.
