The Beautiful Death, a ride on the G-Lock during the Festival of Death, had one last final trip, in which 214 people would temporarily die and go to see the afterlife. A creature known as the Repulsion took over the event and used it to transform the walking zombies of the customers it created with the crew of the Cerberus, enabling it to gain physical form. The Eighth Doctor, Fitz Kreiner and Compassion arrived on an planetoid where a group of mods, rockers and others from 1965 England had been transported by a Maker nineteen years earlier and had continued their rivalry during that time. The Makers, having realised that taking the people from Earth had been a mistake, offered to let the people remain in the 31st century, or send them back to their original time, undoing everything that had happened to that individual and erasing their memories of the past nineteen years.
