Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]

The TARDIS materialises in a deserted house in the Darinthia system and the Doctor tries to goad the Daleks aboard a spaceship into saying that everything belongs to the Dalek Empire so that the Darinthian Blight will wipe them all out. As they do not, only the one ship is destroyed by it and the Dalek Supreme sets his sights on the system to locate him. The Doctor attempts to think up another way of defeating the Daleks, trying to make sure that he does not become the man he was in the Time War, and advises Valarie to comfort Roanna following the destruction of Medrüth. Roanna finds a pair of wedding rings and Valarie asks her to marry her despite them knowing that Valarie will one day marry Hayden; Roanna accepts.

The Doctor decides to plug the Arkheion device into the Pathweb to place the Daleks inside a pocket universe and to remain in there with them to keep them from escaping, a plan that will no doubt end in his own death. Knowing that Valarie will try to join him, he locks her and Roanna outside of the TARDIS as the Dalek fleet arrives in the system and dematerialises. He attracts the Daleks' attention as he sets up the Arkheion device, but the Daleks detect temporal energy on the planet's surface and assume that it belongs to a TARDIS. It is actually Tim, who calls Valarie and sends her his coordinates with a promise that they could rewrite time to save her mother and Roanna's planet. She and Roanna head to the coordinates and find that his outer shell is that of the Lockwood Foundation.

The Daleks capture the Doctor and destroy the Arkheion device and his sonic screwdriver. The Eternal Dalek demands information on the Time Lords and the Daleks' predator, again torturing him and sublimating him into the Pathweb to absorb his knowledge, whilst Roanna removes her regulator so that she can use the strength given to her by the Surge to fight off the Daleks outside of Tim. Roanna is exterminated and Tim brings Valarie inside before dematerialising, reiterating his offer to help save everybody by destroying himself and changing time, and allows her to communicate with the Doctor through his telepathic circuits. The Doctor, whom the Daleks now recognise as their mortal enemy thanks to absorbing his knowledge, tells Valarie to go to Chicago inside Tim and is brought before the Parliament of the Daleks to be exterminated.

Valarie realises that Tim ensured Roanna's death by leading the couple towards the Daleks instead of going to them so that Valarie would have a reason to agree to his plan to change time, which he admits. She agrees to Tim's proposal and orders him to self-destruct and contain the explosion within his outer shell, after which the plan is for her to change time by having Tim give Mrs Hendricks the Surge instead of the Darinthian Blight. Instead, she calls the TARDIS and, asking it for help, tries to travel in it to Medrüth prior to the invasion, but the TARDIS materialises in the Darinthia system when she, the Doctor and Roanna arrived and the Doctor makes Contact with her. She tells the Doctor to get her past self and Roanna to safety and then takes the TARDIS to Chicago to marry Hayden and close the loop.

The Doctor plans to stop the Daleks, ensure that Valarie and Roanna get married and find Clara. He contacts the Dalek ship above the planet and is put through to the Dalek Supreme, whom he gives the opportunity to surrender. When he does not, the Doctor declares that he will hunt each and every Dalek down and finally wipe out the Dalek Empire as he, the Predator of the Daleks, is on the prowl once more.
