Alice was a member of Captain Latimer's household staff in 1892.
When she answered the door to Jenny Flint and Madame Vastra, she screamed in terror due to the latter's appearance. Strax's appearance did not help things, especially when he told her to remain calm while simultaneously calling her "human scum".
Confronted by living snowmen, a lizard woman from the dawn of time, a lesbianistic woman, and a potato man in a butler's outfit all at once, Alice was unable to do anything more than scream even louder before fainting dead away. She was present for the death of governess Clara Oswin Oswald in the last seconds of Christmas Eve that year. When the clocks chimed, she noted that it was then Christmas Day. (TV: The Snowmen)
