- Sandra Mitchell, the mother of Adam Mitchell who appeared at the end of the Doctor Who episode, The Long Game [+]Loading...["The Long Game (TV story)"], is implicitly the same Sandra Mitchell who appeared as a regular character on the ITV drama series, right down to being played by the same actor, Judy Holt. Russell T Davies, Doctor Who's showrunner at the time, and who was a producer and occasional writer for Children's Ward, suggested that all of the show's he has ever worked all took place in "one big world".[1]
