Little Red Riding Hood (or Red Riding Hood) was a character in the "full cast-list of the brothers Grimm", along with Hansel and Gretel and the Big Bad Wolf. Sarah Jane Smith mentioned it in her thoughts while in the Black Forest. (PROSE: Managra)

As recounted by Leela, the "tale of the Red Hood of the Riding" told of a young girl who went to visit her grandmother and saw what big eyes she had.
