Little Red Riding Hood

Little Red Riding Hood (or Red Riding Hood) was a character in the "full cast-list of the brothers Grimm", along with Hansel and Gretel and the Big Bad Wolf. Sarah Jane Smith mentioned it in her thoughts while in the Black Forest. (PROSE: Managra)

As recounted by Leela, the "tale of the Red Hood of the Riding" told of a young girl who went to visit her grandmother and saw what big eyes she had. The young girl also noted what big teeth she had, which were "All the better to eat her with." Leela read the story in a book of fairy tales she found in the TARDIS library. (AUDIO: White Ghosts)

The Meercocks, imitating characters from Earth's literature, were led by Little Red Riding Hood and her husband, the Wolf. (PROSE: Verdigris)

Whilst in the Darkfell on Kirith, Ace likened herself to Red Riding Hood looking for the wolf. (PROSE: Timewyrm: Apocalypse)

The Eleventh Doctor joked about a "wolf in your grandmother's nightdress", a reference to Little Red Riding Hood. (TV: The Power of Three)

While in a brand new forest grown overnight in London, the Twelfth Doctor called Clara Oswald "Red Riding Hood". (TV: In the Forest of the Night)

In 2022, Juliet-178 briefly merged with Little Red Riding Hood when Auteur brought life to all of the fiction contained within the Cupid Archives. When she reached her grandmother's house she encountered the wolfhound, the result of the Hound merging with the Big Bad Wolf, and proceeded to shoot it with arrows. This was reversed after Herodotus-724 managed to expel Auteur from the Cupid Homeworld. (POEM: Auteur and the Homeworld [+]Loading...["Auteur and the Homeworld (poem)"])
