Serving the Spy Master, a CyberMaster General led the CyberMasters in the Master's Dalek Plan.

Characteristics

Of the CyberMaster ranks seen in the Master's Dalek Plan, the General was one of only two CyberMasters seen to sport a Gallifreyan cloak and headdress in place of the side handles on the Cyber-helmet, the other being the Deputy. The General was distinguished from the Deputy by the silver colouring of its headdress, in contrast to the subordinate's black. (TV: The Power of the Doctor)

Biography

The CyberMasters. (TV: The Power of the Doctor)

The CyberMaster General led his brethren in the attack in the Toraji Transport Network bullet train to capture the Qurunx that was being protected as cargo. The CyberMaster Deputy detected a TARDIS making a rescue attempt which the General inferred was the Doctor. During the battle, the General and the Deputy managed to secure the cargo. When the Doctor reached them and attempted to assure the cargo that she would protect them, the General noted "The Doctor lies" and teleported away with the Qurunx. After the CyberMasters tethered the Qurunx to the Cyber-conversion planet in 1916, the General and it's squad confronted the Doctor and Yasmin Kahn there, and the General insisted that she would not stop them as "her Master awaits".

The General was present with its subordinate at the Winter Palace in 1916 when who appeared to be the Fugitive Doctor arrived. Not knowing that she was an AI hologram, the CyberMasters opened fire only to kill themselves in an example of the old circular firing-squad gag, with the energy that would have regenerated them being used to reverse the forced regeneration forced on the Doctor by the Master. Behind the scenes

  • The CyberMaster General is referred to as such in the script for The Power of the Doctor.
  • While Cyber-Leaders have been generally distinguished from subordinate Cybermen by black side handles, a silver headdress is used to distinguish the General from the black of its subordinate.
