Acknowledging the dimensions

Now, I'm aware that the whole LEGO Dimensions coverage debate is still ongoing, but I feel relatively confident in opening this discussion here since it relates to this webcast and others like it.

Basically, all of the non-DWU locations in these webcasts are covered on the wiki without any acknowledgement of them existing in alternate dimensions. I think they should be covered as such, because that's the clear intent.

Follow-up question: if we do cover these dimensions, do we call them by their in-game-but-not-necessarily-diegetic names, or "Alternate universe 1", "Alternate universe 2", etc.? WaltK 23:51, 11 September 2024 (UTC)

Yes, I very much think they should be covered as the correct "dimensions" (categorised under "Parallel universes") - just not sure if it should wait until the debate ends, since I feel covering the game'll make naming easier. We could go for either names like "Adventure Time universe", "Ghostbusters (2016) universe", etc., or we could go for names like "Land of Ooo's universe"/"Finn the Human's universe"/etc., "Abby Yates's universe", etc. I don't think "Universe 1", etc. would be very helpful not only for covering these webcasts, but for covering the game itself, since even putting aside the fact that they're not very clear, I'm not even sure what order they'd be in. Order in the main story? Order of portals on Vorton (and the Shard)? Cookieboy 2005 23:56, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
Ideally we should do Parallel universe (Adventure Time) and so on, but this isn't technically a type of dab term allowed on-Wiki, but I want to open a forum thread eventually to allow characters originating in non-DWU media to have dab terms of their respective series/franchise. It's just so much more user-friendly. 00:00, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
