When two Daleks from the Earth Observation Delegation were stolen from the BBC Television Centre, a Dalek who had gone on Blue Peter to appeal for their return promised that, if they were surrendered unharmed, the Daleks would take it that the culprits were "only guilty of an excess of hospitality".
