Dr Shaw was a scientist working for UNIT.
Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]
In the 2020s, (WC: 14681 UNIT Field Log, etc.) Dr Shaw entered Clara Oswald's copy of 101 Places to See and her leaf into UNIT's Black Archive. He thought that further research into the items was necessary, however. (WC: INCOMING TRANSMISSION [+]Loading...["INCOMING TRANSMISSION (webcast)"])
Later, he added to a whiteboard chart for pancake orders, wanting sugar, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and vegan "choccy spread". He also wrote that the part for fruit was too vague and wanted to know if there were any other options.
He also left a post-it note asking the other UNIT scientists to not eat his yogurt. (PROSE: Nice to see our UNIT scientists have their priorities in order... [+]Loading...["Nice to see our UNIT scientists have their priorities in order... (feature)"])
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- From his name to his job, it appears Shaw is an homage to the Third Doctor companion Liz Shaw.
- In Time Fracture [+]Loading...["Time Fracture (stage play)"], Shaw was portrayed by Sam Blythe[1], Paul Collin-Thomas[2], and Jenny Horsthuis[3]. Resultantly; Shaw was portrayed by actors of varying gender in Time Fracture, but this isn't represented in any source this Wiki deems valid.
- Nice to see our UNIT scientists have their priorities in order... [+]Loading...["Nice to see our UNIT scientists have their priorities in order... (feature)"] implies Shaw may be vegan; although pancakes and yogurt typically aren't vegan due to them containing dairy, it is presumable he has non-dairy alternatives.
