James Johnson Gallery

When initially creating this page, the formatting from the old Wiki was transferred, including the gallery that featured in infographics. These were removed under the assumption the copyright was murky at best. Given Big Finish's own Twitter account retweet them, would it be worth showcasing back again, as it is on the old Wiki? I feel like retweeting them, along with the main cover artist doing the same, is probably decent enough, not to mention they are on the respective box set pages anyway. Just wanted some clarity on things, thanks!

If I recall correctly, I think they were removed at the behest of Johnson, though don't quote me on that. May be wrong. Certainly if Johnson were amenable to it, I see no reason why the gallery shouldn't appear here. Aquanafrahudy 📢 🖊️ 20:17, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
They were removed some time ago, as there was an uncertainty as to whether or not any editor of the Wiki had obtained permission from Johnson to include them. As his own additional 'fan works'/fan-art depicting his creations, it is something that we ought to be sure someone has actually cleared with Johnson, and thus far, I don't believe anybody here has said as much. I note that at the present they've been re-added, but I think we need to have a proper discussion on this here.
There is certainly no issue to me that in that accepting that they could be included, much as we could include additional photography on prop-makers pages of their creations for projects and so forth; but only if someone has assuredly inquired and made sure that we have that permission - so as to avoid any potential upset or misconstruing of our inclusion of imagery; much as we did have once before with imagery from a certain DWM issue (which I hope to revisit at some point, but of course, that's tangential to this conversation.)
