The Doctors Revisited - The Seventh Doctor was a documentary that celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who. It was notable for airing alongside TV: Remembrance of the Daleks on BBC America. It also aired in the United Kingdom later in the year on 2 November, this time with Battlefield rather than Remembrance of the Daleks for an as yet unknown reason, on the Watch channel.

Additional topics covered[[edit] | [edit source]]

The programme was split into the following titled segments:

  • Who's Who
    • Steven Moffat suggests that the Doctor's clownish behaviour is like a mask for the sadder and more mysterious man underneath.
  • TARDIS Team
    • Mel
    • Ace: Sophie Aldred believes the iconic moment of her time on Doctor Who as Ace was when she got to "beat up a Dalek with a baseball bat" during Remembrance of the Daleks. It has become so referable that she thinks it might even end up on her tombstone and hopes no one will mimic the scene to preserve its unique wowing ability for the viewing audience.
  • Famous Foes
  • An Adventure with the Seventh Doctor
    • Steven Moffat confides that he thought McCoy's first season as the Seventh Doctor wasn't working out for over-showcasing comedic bits, and the series was "flailing". However, it didn't stop him from cutting a meeting short to catch the airing of Remembrance of the Daleks. He was amazed by the serial and it convinced him the show had rebounded.
