The Sandbox Game was a game in which brands would release small game worlds that all existed as locations within a single digital world, branded a "metaverse".
In May 2023, Reality+ was announced to be making a BBC Studios "immersive experience" in The Sandbox Game which would have featured Doctor Who content.[1] However, the released "experience" was entirely Top Gear themed.[2] The Top Gear experience no longer existed within a year of release, indicating an end to the partnership between BBC Studios and The Sandbox Game.[3]
