Unniloctium was an element on the periodic table.
Unniloctium was a naturally occurring element on Earth. It was first discovered by humans in 1984. Trace amounts of unniloctium deposits were also found in G-class star systems.

Behind the scenes
Element 108 was give the temporary name unniloctium in 1979 and was was first synthesised in 1984. The name Hassium was was proposed in 1992 and accepted in 1997, after The Shadow of Weng-Chiang [+]Loading...["The Shadow of Weng-Chiang (novel)"] was published in 1996. Despite claims in the novel, it is not a naturally occurring element on Earth.
