Antonin Artaud

Antonin Artaud was thought that he had been taken out of time and found himself in Rome 1601 but shortly found himself back in Paris 1935. He realised that this was a dream. He wanted to create a new kind of theatre which was immersive. He wrote a play about Beatrice Cenci because he kept seeing her in dreams. The Ninth Doctor discovered that he was being manipulated by the Astraphi who exploited him because of him being treated for a mental illness using electroshock therapy. The Doctor tried to show him happy memories to stop the Astraphi. (AUDIO: A Theatre of Cruelty [+]Loading...["A Theatre of Cruelty (audio story)"])
