Curse of the Cyclops was a short fiction module published in DWM 182 on 26 December 1991 by Marvel Comics UK and written by Ian Marsh to serve as an an introduction to the game laid out in the RPG book Time Lord.

The story was intended to be played as the First Doctor, Vicki Pallister and Steven Taylor, who are stumbling into a trap set by the Daleks following the events of The Chase [+]Loading...["The Chase (TV story)"]. It required one player to have a copy of the rules of Time Lord and was suggested to be played before the more difficult module included in the book, The Templar Throne.

Publisher's summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

Curse of the Cyclops is a short adventure that players should be able to complete in one or two evenings. It is set after The Chase, and involves the First Doctor, Steven and Vicki. It is possible, however, for it to take place further along the Doctor’s time line; the seventh Doctor and Ace, for example, could conceivably tackle the adventure. Additional companions can be provided by using Alison from the appendices, or by allowing players to create their own characters.

Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • In 1997, Curse of the Cyclops was included in the online freeware release of Time Lord in place of The Templar Throne.
  • While the game was intended to feature Vicki, the accompanying illustrations in DWM 182 inexplicably depicted Dodo Chaplet in her place.
