I accidentally hit publish before I could finish my edit summary so it's here, instead.

I'm not quite clear on how the current system works, but it seems good practise to me to cite stuff. Given this is a Wiki and all.

Oh absolutely, but this isn't the place to cite it. This was released in DWM 182, so if we had a citation, it would go there, not here. Why don't you go and add "citation needed" to every single DWM since the dawn of time? No, because that would be a waste of time. Instead, why don't we approach this in a sensible manner and establish the wider systematic method which has been used for determining release dates on DWM articles (I'm pretty sure it's something like "the day after the cover date of the previous release"), determine the validity of that method, then explain it somewhere on the wiki.

As for dates in leads, you'll find the majority of stories don't do this. I'm not really bothered about including them, but I don't really see the point in adding a date just to question its accuracy. Danochy ☎ 21:45, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
