Stone Dalek

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

The Stone Dalek was one of the progenitor Daleks.

History

The stone Dalek was one of the Progenitor Daleks present at the Alliance's sealing of the Doctor in the Pandorica in 102 A.D.. As the cracks in time continued to run rampant across the Universe, Dalek history was erased, leaving the stone Dalek as an 'after image'. The Pandorica contained atoms from the original universe, from before the cracks started to erase events, and had the ability to sustain life. Light from within the Pandorica reactivated the Dalek but the stone did not fall off. Its power was not fully restored so it could not shoot, but eventually its power was restored enough to shoot its weapon. It was one of the first Daleks to shoot the Doctor. It was also the first Dalek to say "Mercy!" Soon after that it was shot by River Song.

Behind the Scenes

  • It is unknown what Progenitor Dalek it is, it could be a Drone, Eternal, or Supreme. The voice of this Dalek isn't as deep as the Supreme's, so it may be one of the former.
By process of elimination, it is unlikely to be the "Eternal" as it has a very special purpose. It is unlikely to be a strategist as they were not seen in "The Pandorica Opens". Its voice is too high to be the Supreme. It stands to reason that it is a
standard Drone.
