Peter Alan Tyler normally called Pete Tyler is a parallel universe counterpart of Pete Tyler, father of Rose Tyler and husband of Jackie Tyler.

Early history
Unlike Rose's deceased father,Pete Tyler of a parallel world was a wealthy businessman.He was head of his own company, Vitex that made soft drinks and his company was a sub-company of Cybus Industries, which was ran by John Lumic.
He was married to Jackie Tyler, he had no children though the couple did have a dog that they called Rose. Shortly before Jackie's 40th birthday, Pete and Jackie got divorced but kept it quiet as it was bad for his business. For Jackie's birthday he planned to throw her a party, but Jackie got annoyed with him as he had put that she was forty on the banner, a not thirty-nine, which she wanted it to be. The same day, Pete attended a meeting aboard John Lumic's Zeppelin.
In this meeting Lumic told Pete and the others of his plans to change humans into Cybermen. The President prohibited it. Pete attempted to make Lumic feel better telling him England was not the only country in the world.
Fighting the Cybermen
During Jackie's party, a group of Cybermen arrived, and after breaking into the house, via the windows and the doors they sarted started killing the guests, uttering cries of 'delete'.He managed to escape, along with the Doctor, Rose and the Preachers. As they escaped, they were trapped and surrounded by the Cybermen, who threated to delete them, as they were 'incompatible for upgrading'. Moment before they are deleted, The Doctor used a Arton power cell to defeat the Cybermen, and they flee by getting into The Preacher's van, driven by Mrs Moore.
As they drove away, he revealed that he was secretly feeding information to the Preachers and he used the code name Gemini. He agreed and took part in the plan to stop the project by disguising himself using EarPods along with Rose, they entered the Cyber Factory, and waited in line, along with the rest to London to be 'upgraded'. The plan failed when a Cyberman that had been Jackie approached, after overhearing their conversation, this made him show his emotions.
He was taken with Rose to the Cybermen control centre, he watched as The Doctor spoke with the Cyber Leader, that was once John Lunmic. The Cybermen were defeated when they went mad, which was caused by The Doctor allowing the Cybermen to feel emotion, as the Factory started to burn, Pete and the others escaped to the roof. As Jake Simmonds and Mickey Smith lowered a ladder form the Zeppelin they were flying, so they could climb up, the Cyber Leader grabbed on as well. The Cyber Leader was sent tumbling into the exploding factor, after Pete used the Sonic screwdriverto break the ladder under him. He found out Rose was actually the daughter of him in a parallel universe, just before Rose and the Doctor departed in the TARDIS. (DW: Rise of the Cybermen / The Age of Steel).
Saving the Earth
After saving his world from the Cybermen, Pete joined Torchwood along with Mickey Smith and Jake Simmonds. They developed technology so they could travel between the parallel universes.
During the Battle of Canary Wharf, Pete, along with Jake, saved The Doctor from being killed by a Cybermen. Pete then used the Dimensional transporter that took him and The Doctor to Pete's World. Pete asked him to help save this world, as the Void opening was causing a rise in temperature. Pete travelled to the battle, where he saved Jackie Tyler from two Cybermen by destroying them with a preacher gun. He talk with Jackie for a period of time, where they both denied that they were the person they wanted the other to be. Jackie said 'you're dead', as she was unable to accept that there was another Pete. Pete meanwhile said, 'you're not my Jackie', unable to accept that he could have Jackie back again. They then hugged and kissed each other, after finally accepting that they could be with the one they loved again.
A New Jackie
Up in the Void Room of Torchwood Tower, The Doctor decided to name the parallel world Pete's World. Pete teleported Jackie Tyler back to the parallel world along with himself and Rose. However, Rose teleported back wanting to be with the Doctor. The Doctor and Rose opened the Void, which would suck all the Cybermen and Daleks in, but it would also make travel between their world and Pete's would be impossible. As the Void was in full force, it started to close, and Rose let go of where she was holding to lock the Void in place, so it would shut itself. As she did so, she let go and flew towards the Void opening. Right before Rose fell into the Void, Pete then teleported back and caught her, saving her life.
Trapped in Pete's world, Pete could on watch as Rose cried. Rose, Mickey and Jackie later moved into Pete's house. Pete later drove his new family (Jackie, Rose and Mickey) to Norway as Rose had a dream where the Doctor called her there. Jackie was pregnant with Pete's child. Pete then drove them home again once Rose had said goodbye to The Doctor.(DW: Army of Ghosts / Doomsday)
Later life
Pete and Jackie had a child together, who was named Tony. Some time later, Pete was tasked with taking care of Tony while Jackie temporarily travelled back to her original Earth in order to rescue her daughter from the Daleks. After being returned to "Pete's World" by the Doctor, Jackie was heard stating that Pete would have to come and get them from Bad Wolf Bay in Norway, where they had been dropped of by the Doctor.
