The RMS Titanic was an early Earth luxury liner known famously for its collision with an iceberg. The Doctor has been involved with it several times.
The Doctor travelled on the ship at least once, in his Eight Regeneration. (NA: The Left-Handed Hummingbird) He was able to survive by clinging onto the iceberg. The Doctor later made several people decide not to board the liner, saving their lives. (DW: Rose). The ship will feature as a main part of the plot in the 2007 Christmas Episode, Voyage of the Damned.
