The TARDIS lands on Fang Rock, a remote and fogbound English island in the early 20th century. The Doctor and Leela soon discover they are not the only visitors to this barren crag. A luxury yacht has been shipwrecked on the rocks, and the survivors are seeking shelter in the island’s only building, a lighthouse that has been mysteriously drained of power. But another more sinister ship has crashed into the sea nearby, and its pilot is a creature from another world. A creature that kills and can look like anyone it wants …
