Lake Silencio is a body of water located in the Utah, United States of America .

It was by this lake that the Doctor met companions Amy and Rory Williams , along with River Song for his 'last supper' at his own arrangement. During this picnic a mysterious astronaut walks out of the water, and the Doctor goes to meet it at the water's edge, whilst his friends look on as the astronaut shoots him casuing his regeneration to begin, before shooting hime once more, ensuring the Doctor's true death.


BEHIND THE SCENES

  • The name Lake Silencio, was revealed during Series Six' trailer for the second part of the series, due to air autumn 2011.
