It was on the way to Stuart Hoskins 's wedding to Sarah Clark that Pete Tyler was killed in a hit-and-run accident. However, when Rose Tyler saved her father's life, time was disturbed, enabling the antibody-like wraiths, the Reapers, to spill into the world of 1987, wiping people out of time and feeding off the resultant chronal energy. Stuart and Sarah had met outside the Beatbox Club. Stuart's father Sonny was a victim of the Reapers but, after Pete Tyler sacrificed his life, Sonny was returned and the wedding took place, with no one recollecting what had occured other than the unfortunate death of Pete outside the church.(DW: Father's Day).
