The Cirranin were an ancient species that looked something like manatees, though smaller and with arms instead of fins. They had hearts and tear-ducts.
Roughly 500 million BCE, the Cirranin were an advanced species that had sent expeditions into space. One of these, explorers was the scientist Hr'oln. Unfortunately, while Hr'oln was exploring space, the planet broke out into war and was eventually was destroyed. Hr'oln was the only survivor. (TDA: The Last Dodo)
