- Sarah Jane Smith’s parents Eddie and Barbara died in a car crash when she was a baby and she was brought up by her Aunt Lavinia.
- The Doctor’s TARDIS has been seen on screen disguised as a church organ, a Victorian kitchen stove, and a pair of gates.
- Former Blue Peter presenter Gethin Jones has appeared in the TV series as a Cyberman and manning a Dalek.
- The Doctor’s sonic screwdriver was modified between The Empty Child and The Next Doctor to enable it to scan for alien tech.
