- Usually produced twice yearly Specials were generally released around Summer and Autumn time in time for the school summer holidays and the Christmas holiday period. 1987 saw the first of several yearly specials all Autumn.
- This fourteenth Special from Marvel comics was a design themed, regular sized, perfectly bound issue with a thicker cover and better quality paper quality printed in September 1985 with a cover price of £1.95 (UK).
- Text was written and researched by Patrick Mulkern, with an extended thanks to the Doctor Who Production Department.
