The Wooden King

The Wooden King was a being created from an Androzani Tree. It grew from what looked like a Christmas bauble which Cyril Arwell had grabbed. Cyril followed the creature back to a copse of trees that had grown into a tower. When Madge Arwell was used as a lifeboat to save the trees' life force and travelled into the vortex, back to 1941, the Wooden King, with its Queen turned to ordinary wood. The King, like the Queen was mute, and used others such as Madge Arwell for speech. It appeared to be grown from a tree which grew "Christmas tree ornaments", from which he hatched like a bird from an egg. (DW:The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe.)
