BBC executives are those people connected to the production of Doctor Who at the British Broadcasting Corporation who were never specifically on staff at the Doctor Who production office. Typically such people are, or were, the bosses of the producers and executive producers of Doctor Who and have, or had, general oversight of a number of different productions at the same time they were involved with Doctor Who. Nevertheless, they can, or could, be quite influential to the development of Doctor Who, often weighing in on the major decisions faced by the production.

For the purposes of our wiki, they do not include people like Piers Wenger or Julie Gardner, who were both credited as executive producers of Doctor Who by virtue of being BBC Wales executives. As a simple rule of thumb, if they appear in the credits, they shouldn't appear in this category.
