2023: The Eurovision Audition Tapes,[1] was a skit released as part of Comic Relief 2023. Among other unlikely contestants, it featured a Dalek who insisted that it had musical talents.

Synopsis[[edit] | [edit source]]

In this special sketch the UK may have found its Eurovision entrant for this year, but before the big night, our panel (Graham Norton, Lulu and Sam Ryder) will have to sit through aspiring celebrity auditions... of varying quality.

Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]

Graham Norton, Lulu, and Sam Ryder sit down behind a judging desk in order to select the 2023 UK's representative for Eurovision with this being explained to the trio by Björn Ulvaeus. Amongst these auditionees include Miranda Hart who auditions with a dance routine, Jamie Dornan who performs a parody of the famous cue cards scene from Love Actually, Fleur East who Graham disbelieves should represent the UK as she is oftentimes a Runner-Up, Owain Wyn Evans who played a drum set, a Dalek who claimed it could sing, S Club 7 who believed a band should represent the UK at Eurovision, Gordon Ramsay who played a piece upon the recorder before snapping it in anger at being put down as a maybe, and Fred Siriex who attempted to represent the UK until the judging panel realised that he were French and were but faking that he were from Peckham as he had said.
