Governor of Kentucky (The New World)
In 2011, Alexander Peterssen, on behalf of a male Governor of Kentucky's office, met with convicted paedophile and murderer Oswald Danes at Montrose Hill State Penitentiary after Danes survived his execution by lethal injection as a result of Miracle Day. Peterssen relayed the office's "condolences without an admission of liability for any physical distress caused by events beyond its control", acknowledging that the governor's apology would always be "within certain limits" in light of Danes' 2006 murder of 12 year old Susie Cabina. Using the Eighth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States — in concert with the Fifth — to explain why he could not be re-executed after the State of Kentucky's first attempt failed, Danes threatened to "sue [the governor's] ass to high heaven till angels sing songs of him in their laments" for wrongful imprisonment. Danes was then released on parole by the governor's office. (TV: The New World [+]Loading...["The New World (TV story)"])
