Scary monsters and scarier stories.

Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]

Somewhere in a forest in Britannia, a Sontaran walks around, complaining that his unit left him on a backwater planet. Hearing a sound of footsteps, he asks who is there, saying they will come out or be obliterated. It is a Cyberman. The Cyberman notices the unupgraded lifeform and engages social protocol. The Sontaran tells the Cyberman not to approach or he will… but he is interrupted by the cries of "Exterminate-Exterminate!". The Sontaran says that he'll do that, saying it seems that they are in a clear glorious stand-off. The Dalek says that there is no stand-off, only death for non-Daleks. The Cyberman says that they will all be upgraded or deleted.

The Sontaran says that they could exterminate eachother, but that there might not be survivors. The Cyberman says that there is logic in what the Sontaran says. The Dalek says that "surrender" is weakness and it will exterminate… but the Cyberman interrupts, saying that its extermination capabilities are null, and the scannerens indicate the Dalek's weapons are offline. The Sontaran mocks the Dalek, saying it has lost its claws. The Dalek rebutes that it will exterminate them, but the Sontaran continues, saying that it seems the Dalek is tactically outmatched and all they can do is wait for their people. The Cyberman says that the Cyber-fleet's estimated retrieval time is 52 Terran cycles. The Sontaran says that they might need a way to pass the time, then suddenly gets the idea to regale them in a war tale.

The Sontaran tells the others of a time he and his squad was testing a prototype stealth device, having infiltrated the humans's fortress on their natural satellite, managing to avoid detection while getting closer to their target, saying that the native guards were incapable of detecting their advanced cloaks, with the mission about to be successful when he appeared, uttering the words that his comrades grew to fear. The Fourth Doctor appeared, offering jelly babies, then covered the Sontarans in charged ferro-fluid, revealing them behind the cloaks, amd they were captured.

The Sontaran ends his story, saying they survived encountering the Doctor. The Cyberman calculates that the encounter seems feasible and the survival rate percentage is acceptable, but the Dalek intervenes saying that weakness is not worth any stories, but the Sontaran retorts that understanding defeat is a tactical advantage. The Cyberman agrees, saying that iteration is the basis of all upgrades, approving the logic. The Dalek taunts that this is spoken like a true inferior. The Cyberman reports that approval has been received from the Cyberium to open mission briefing files. The Sontaran asks if the tin can will share its own tale. The Cyberman commences debriefing of Mission 4534-A, engaging storytelling module.

The Cyberman tells that the Cyberium ordered his fleet to establish a beach-head on Mars, saying they had the objective of conquering the region of Haganistan. The Sontaran interrupts, saying he remembers having fought on their red sands and that their warriors were tougher than diamond, but the Cyberman says that interruptions will be met with deadly reprisal. The Cyberman apologizes, urging continuation. The Cyberman continues that for that purpose they cyber-converted their fallen enemies and created Cyber-Warriors, some of the most powerful cyber-entities ever created. The Dalek interrupts, saying that this is incorrect and the Daleks are the masters, the Cyberman fires at it.

The Cyberman continues, saying that as they cyber-converted their most powerful warriors, nobody could stop them, with their forces stomping through the Ice Warriors's defenses, cutting a bloody wound through them. The Cyberium's orders were precice and so were the Cybermen's movements, but then it happened, and at first they detected the hearts beating, then a reverberating sound of a sonic device. The Cyberman says that this was followed by a powerful note, a blast that lifted up the red dust, revealing a layer of gold dust hidden beneath the sands, with most of the fleet ground forces being exterminated, and the Doctor only said one thing… the Twelfth Doctor said "Run.".

The Sontaran asks the Cybermen if he's done it, holding the Dalek in a firm grasp. The Dalek complains, telling him to unhand it. The Cyberman says it has, and engages the Dalek's holographic projector. The Sontaran asks what they’re seeing. The Dalek says it will not comply with his inquiry. The Cyberman says that the database states that it is an abandoned Minyan ship. In the story, the Daleks have detected enemies and are going to locate them, saying that the enemy of the Daleks is approaching. The Seventh Doctor greets the Daleks. The Sontaran is surprised to see the Doctor who destroyed Skaro.

The Dalek yells at them to stop their actions at once. The Sontaran tells the Cyberman to keep going, wanting to see how the Dalek survived this. In the story, the Doctor says that he was not expecting the rapacious rusted ruffians on this ship. The Daleks yell for extermination of the Doctor, but the Doctor asks them if they're quite sure they want to do that. The Daleks weapons systems charge to full power for maximum extermination. The Doctor tells Ace that it is now her turn. Both Daleks utter in surprise "ACE!?". Ace says "wicked" in excitement, bashing the Daleks.

The Sontaran mockingly asks the Dalek if it was bested by a child, bursting out laughing. The Cyberman says that if it still had emotions, it would find this unbearably funny. The Dalek protests, ordering silence as the Daleks won't be mocked. The Sontaran retorts that they won't survive being hit by a wooden stick either. The Daleks says that it survived and survival of the Daleks is the most… but the Cyberman says that it is unable to accept defeat, noting it an emotional response from a lower being. The Dalek retorts that it will show them who is inferior. The Cyberman tells the Sontaran he should release the Dalek as it is relocating life-support energy reserves. The Sontaran asks where to. The Cyberman says to the weapons systems.

The Dalek exclaim glory to the Dalek Empire and death to its enemies. The Sontaran calls for it to stop, saying that they do not need to wage war, as today they are all survivors and not enemies. The Cyberman adds that battle would be illogical at this point as it would burn its reserves. The Dalek continues to exclaim "Death or Extermination!". The Sontaran says that it seems they survived the Doctor only to be killed by a crazed Dalek. The Cyberman notes that surviving the Doctor is more probable than surviving a rogue Dalek. The Sontaran tells the tin can that he did not need to hear the odds. The Dalek prepares for extermination. A voice from behind interrupts them all, saying that they could not help overhearing them and tells them that they’re wrong.

The Dalek identifies a new enemy. The Sontaran asks who the stranger is and what they’re doing here. The Cyberman activates sensors and detects double heartbeat, designation: Time - Lady, continues the Fugitive Doctor, thanking the Cyberman for the introduction. The Cyberman detects "ERROR", saying the Gallifreyan is not in the database. The Doctor says that she is, but they just don’t know it yet, saying she wanted to help fix their data, as encountering her is much worse than any crazed pepperpot. The Sontaran stutteringly ask if she is… the Dalek exclaims "The Doctor", preparing to exterminate, but the Doctor says that that is her line.

  1. It is clear by the visuals of this event that the Cyberman present in the idle/clicker screen is CyberLeader, however the Character Card has mistakenly been labelled Cybertrooper. This wiki will list as such for consistency.
  2. It is clear by the visuals of this event that the Cyberman present in the storyline sequences is Cybertrooper, however the speech bubbles have been labelled simply as "Cyberman", likely due to the lack of the CyberLeader in the story, rendering clarification unnecessary.
